May Program Notes
Betty Hahn delighted Mavericks members with a talk and demonstration of her collection of vintage quilts and quilt tops, so many that she keeps them hanging in a walk-in closet. Betty made us a part of the program. We held up various quilts and read their descriptions, and Betty added more interesting information about each one. The most amazing quilt, a 20,000-piece postage stamp, was made by a farmer.
Overall, the program reminded us where our current focus on the art of quilting originated.
